Really a tough day this one. Got up late, strolled down to the beach and had a long swim in the rather warm Pacific Ocean. Afterwards, we hired 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for a couple of hours whist eating a rainbow snow cone.
From there, we headed back to our hotel for a nap (big day) to prepare ourselves for a well-known eating challenge – The Cheesecake Factory. Definitely one of the best known eating places in Waikiki, the restaurant is enormous and so are the waiting queues. Even at 6pm when we rocked up, it was a 20min wait. The night before, it would have been a couple of hours, easily.
The portions are huge! We foolishly ordered an entree as well which would have sufficed as a shared main for us both. The mains then came and we started to struggle big time. Great food, good environment and we didn’t even have a chance to try one of their 20 odd cheesecakes they’re famous for! Next time…
We rolled back to our hotel, watched some tv (42 channels) and fell to sleep. A very good day!
