We’ve been updated by Projects Abroad about what we’ll be doing. Deb’s working in the orphanage with babies as young as 2 months up to kids aged 18. She’s been assigned another nurse who will take her around and show her what to do. Sounds tough but very rewarding.
Meanwhile, I (Glen) will be at the bear sanctuary (which also looks after wolves I’ve just learnt) where I’ll be feeding the 40 bears, cleaning, build fences, clear scrub, plant trees etc. Sounds like a lot of hard work actually. I hope they provide moisturiser for my soft, delicate, IT hands.
The photo is a bear in the sanctuary. I’ve named him Boris. I think I’ll give him a hug when I get there… nothing bad could come of that, could it? He’d be only 400kg and those claws would retract like a cat’s. I know bears.
